As I began to research organizations that interest me, I discovered that there were a great deal of organizations that fight for the cause of my challenge which is children living in domestic violence and child abuse environments. Below is a list of some that caught my attention:

Every Child Matters Education Fund
Mission: Provides opportunities for focusing attention on children’s issues including the prevention of child abuse and neglect.

Mission: To identify young children who witness acts of significant violence.

violence.

Each of these focus on the well-being of children. Their missions shows that they understand that hundreds of children are violated every year. Their goal is to find a way to support those affected by this tragic act.

Roles in the Early Childhood Community

Child Victim Advocate
Agency: Family Service of the Piedmont, Inc

Mission: Family Service of the Piedmont is a not for profit agency whose mission is to promote healthy lives and relationships for children, families and individuals, through early intervention, treatment, and support in times of crisis and transition.

Qualifications: The ability to respond appropriately to the cultural differences present among the organizations service population and staff is required.

I chose these organizations and job opportunities because they will allow me to work directly with the family and keep the well-being and best interest of the child my priority. These jobs will also allow me to continue to be an advocate for the children in my service.
